Auditioning for Musical Theatre
with Writers Theatre’s Casting Director, Stephen Schellhardt

This class will empower participants to audition for any musical theatre opportunity with confidence by strengthening techniques in acting, dancing and singing.  Participants will learn performance readiness skills by practicing the process and understanding the vocabulary of a typical musical theatre audition.  Topics will include how to create a strong audition book, audition room tips and etiquette, knowing your type and acting through song, how to approach a cold reading, and how to quickly learn a dance combination.
