On Camera Master Class
New York Casting Associate, Candice Alustiza-Lee

ATC is pleased to welcome back Candice Alustiza-Lee, a NY-based Casting Associate currently working on the HBO series, Succession. Past projects include: Mindhunter / Netflix; Red Oaks / Amazon; Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt / Netflix; The Carrie Diaries / The CW; and the film, St. Vincent. This Master Class will combine acting, auditioning, and on-camera technique in a friendly yet professional environment. Learn how to deliver better on-camera auditions in order to increase your chances of booking. 


Prerequisite: Headshot/ resume submission or agent referral only

Auditioning for Musical Theatre
with Lantern Theatre’s Founding Artistic Director, Dominic Rescigno

This class will empower participants to audition for any musical theatre opportunity with confidence by strengthening techniques in acting, dancing and singing. Participants will learn performance readiness skills by practicing the process and understanding the vocabulary of a typical musical theatre audition. Audition room etiquette, understanding “type”, and cold readings will also be addressed.


Dominic Rescigno is a Columbia College Chicago grad and has worked with Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Second City, Artemisia Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, Kokandy Productions, and the NYC Sketch Comedy Festival. He founded and served as the Artistic Director of Lantern Theatre on Chicago’s south side and is one of the creative team members of FWD Theatre Project, which helps foster new musical development throughout the city and beyond.

Breaking Into the Business 

Cut to the chase and learn first hand how to break in and work your way through the film, TV, and theatre business. Studio Founder Carole Dibo will share her years of experience in this invaluable workshop breaking down the who’s who and the do’s and don’t’s of a very complicated industry. This 1-day seminar is full of information that could otherwise take years to learn and will send each participant home with a valuable packet of information and contacts. A must for every actor. 

This class is appropriate for ages 12 and up. We always recommend parents accompany interested children, to get the most out of the workshop.

WORKSHOP LOCATION: Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, 800 E. Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611

Play detective and discover clues to unlocking character and relationship through use of Shakespeare’s First Folio text! The First Folio is the most authentic collection of Shakespeare’s plays, and buried in its pages are directions for the actor if you know how to look for them. A two-session exploration of how to bring these clues to vibrant dramatic life. For high school to adult. No preparation necessary. 


BOB MASON has been an Artistic Associate as well as the Director of Casting at Chicago Shakespeare Theater for the past seventeen years. Previous to that he was a Joseph Jefferson Award-winning actor. He has been visiting faculty at Northwestern University, as well as teaching at Actors Training Center, The School at Steppenwolf, UIC, and Acting Studio Chicago. He also does individual coaching for auditions and school admissions.
