HOW OUR ONLINE CLASSES WORK:

Online Class Sizes:

Our classes are normally capped around 8-12 students. Our small class sizes allow for each student to work individually with their instructor more frequently, even online. If there is a strong interest shared by others and a waitlist is created, we will consider opening a second section of an already filled online class.

Online Class Advantage:

In this day of COVID-19, taking a class online really is the safest way to #train2work. As long as you have a strong internet connection, a device to live chat on, and a place to move freely, you can sign up for an online class! Taking a class online also comes with the benefit of experiencing our professional training no matter where you are in the world! You'll have the opportunity to practice & hone your craft, and then you can sit back in the comfort of your home, view & analyze other student's performance in hopes of internalizing their notes into your own performance.

Online Class Levels:

Many online classes are open level - meaning that students of all experience levels are welcome to take part. Some online classes do require a prerequisite - which allows all the students to work from the same experience and technique vocabulary before diving deeper into the class's specific discipline.

Process vs Product:

A majority of our online classes do not have a performance component or endgame. Our focus is more on the process and trusted techniques that get you to the point where you can confidently perform with honesty and vulnerability - cornerstones of believable "acting". You handle the performance, we handle getting you there.

HOW OUR IN-PERSON CLASSES WORK:

If an update needs to be made to our restrictions, we will promptly update this page and inform our students and families.

In-Person Class Sizes:

Our in-person classes are capped at 8 students, and require everyone to wear a mask. Our small in-person class sizes allow each student to work individually with their instructor more frequently, even if it is from 6 feet apart.

In-Person Class Advantage:

If you're feeling the "Online Class Burnout", these in-person classes will help you get back on your feet with some professional training. With social distancing in practice, you'll learn more by watching others up close than you think. ATC does not offer private classes (*or workshops) because we want to keep everyone healthy & safe, and because so much of learning is a team effort! As convenient as online classes may be, you can only absorb so much from behind a screen. In-person classes give you the opportunity to actively engage with other class-mates, view & analyze their performance (from 6 feet away), and internalize their notes into your own performance. right there in the moment!
*We do offer audition-specific, one-on-one, private coaching. More details here
