Play in a Day (2nd-3rd)

Thursdays, 4:30pm-6:30pm / October 3 - December 5

This fast-paced, dynamic class will teach and refine important acting skills while concluding each day with a wacky 10-minute performance for families. Projection, physical expression and dynamic acting will be encouraged through new scripts and classic stories.

Actors Essentials

Saturdays, 10am-NOON / October 12 - December 14

This core class breaks down the most challenging steps for the young actor. Students will explore the vocal, physical, and emotional details that lead to creating three-dimensional characters and scenes. (No class: November 30)


Actors Essentials: The Ensemble

Sundays, 11am-1pm / October 13 - December 15

In this level 2 acting class students will be exposed to the philosophy and critical skill of supporting fellow actors through ensemble development. Students will begin working on their improvisational skills geared towards a focus on tackling scripted work. Learn how to be free, make choices, and take those skills into the text. (No class: December 1)


Acting for the Camera

Saturdays, 12:30pm-2:30pm / October 12 - December 14

On camera acting can be a challenge for the young actor whose instinct is to push to “get it right” when what is needed from them is to bring their authentic selves to their work. Our professional actors/instructors give a practical approach that will help students gain the confidence to say, “I am enough”.


Students will work in our professional studio, getting in front of the camera each week with commercial and film/TV copy and will receive adjustments and notes after watching playback. (No class: November 30)


Scene Into Song

Sundays, 1:15pm-3:15pm / October 13 - December 15

Discover Broadway songs and the scenes that set them up. Learn about what motivates the character's actions and seamlessly moves them through drama and movement to song.  (No class: December 1)

Power of "IF"

Saturdays, 10:15am-12:15pm / October 12 - December 14

Designed for aspiring young actors who are ready to work fearlessly from their personal experiences of the past by saying "what if..." to their character in the present. The Power of "IF" creates a foundation for future training. (No class: November 30)


Professional Actors Toolbox

Saturdays, 12:45pm - 2:45pm / October 12 - December 14

Improv, Cold Reading & Scene Study are three must-have areas of study for a serious actor in this competitive field. This compact class, taught by a rotation of ATC teachers, is designed with a keen eye for the actor who is ready to start working in the industry. (No class: November 30)

Movement for Actors

Saturdays, 3pm-5:15pm / October 19 - December 14

As an actor you bring life to characters, and directors in every genre of performing are requiring much more physicality of their performers. Understanding how to use your body can free you to develop & convincingly inhabit characters that are older, younger, tired, energetic, injured, shy, frightened, in love...once you understand your instrument, there are endless options available to you.


The ATC College Audition Clinic
