20TH CENTURY FOX TELEVISION, & LEE DANIELS ENTERTAINMENT are producing a new television series in development at ABC, the reboot of "The Wonder Years".
THE ROLE: [DEAN WILLIAMS] 10–13 years old, Black, Male.
Smart, inquisitive, perceptive, hopeful and sweet, Dean is coming of age in a turbulent time. It's 1968 in Montgomery, Alabama - and Dean is trying to figure out his place in the world. Though a little insecure, a tad awkward and a bit self-conscious, he is determined to make his mark and won’t stop until he gets the girl, makes the team and gets the “A”
Storyline: Coming of age in 1968 in Montgomery, Alabama against a backdrop of divisiveness, fear, anger and inequality, twelve year old DEAN WILLIAMS is determined to find his footing and purpose during a turbulent time in history. ADULT DEAN narrates the story of young Dean's remarkable "Wonder Years."....
