Goodman Theatre Managing Producer & Director of Casting, Adam Belcuore
Adam Belcuore is an original founding member of Serendipity Theatre Company and currently serves as Director of Artistic Development. He served as assistant director to Kate Whoriskey on the Goodman’s production of Regina Taylor’s Drowning Crow and to Ross Shirley on Serendipity’s production of the Day Maggie Blew Off Her Head. He is the executive producer of Serendipity’s 2nd Story, a series devoted to the art of wine, music and storytelling. As a casting director, Belcuore has worked with Lookingglass, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Northlight Theater, and The Goodman Theatre, where he currently works as managing producer.
About the course
ATC is pleased to welcome guest-instructor Adam Belcuore. Adam is the Managing Producer and Director of Casting for Chicago’s Tony Award winning Goodman Theatre. Since 2003, he has worked with some of the nation’s top directors, casting and producing a wide array of projects including classics, new works, and musicals.
In this four-week course, Adam will help you get out of your head and into a scene. In this industry, it is vital to deliver a compelling scene no matter if you’ve worked with your scene partner dozens of times or are just meeting them for the first time. Adam will teach you how to connect authentically and get out of your own way to tell your most convincing story.
